Sonesta St. George Hotel - Convention Center

The service here is beyond what you will find anywhere. The guest relations manager, Nardine, was amazing. I had a bit of food poisoning from something I ate out on a tour, and she had a delicious soup as well as water sent up to my room. Catherine was great as well, she had fresh mint tea with lemon brought for my stomach as I waited for my driver, who never showed up. Then, they waited patiently with me as they arranged another room for me to rest in until my flight in the evening, since being out in the Egyptian sun/heat was not advisable in my condition. Outstanding individuals, and stellar service, I will gladly be back for that. It would be impossible to have a bad experience here.

We arrived at the hotel and were welcomed with a room upgrade. Our suite was beautiful with super comfy beds and a balcony with a view to the Nile and the sunset. Maviey Ayman and the other guest services young ladies are very friendly and always happy to help. We loved the meals at the Egyptian restaurant by the pool and were treated like royalty by Peter and also by Iman and Nagha at the pool bar. We absolutely loved our stay at Sonesta St George and would love to visit again in the future💕

Sonesta St George is the most beautiful hotel I've ever stayed at. We initially booked five days here but we were so comfortable we extended our stay. When you first walk into the hotel the lobby takes your breath away. So opulent. The rooms and corridors are traditionally furnished with dark wood, red carpets and and white linen. We had the most amazing view of the Nile where you can see the feluccas bobbing at sunset. There is an excellent selection of in-hotel restaurants including a gorgeous British-style bar/pub. The breakfast buffet is to die for. They have everything you could possibly want and it's cooked to the highest quality. The staff at Sonesta are second to none. The manager, John, and his team at reception went out of their way to help us with any question or problem we had. The room service staff left the room beautifully cleaned. Nagha at the pool is the most hard-working lady I've ever met! She ensured we had ice for our water and constantly brought us complementary hibiscus juice and fruit kebabs. Sonesta felt like home for a week. Best hotel in Luxor.

I enjoyed my time at St George Hotel. After a long journey throughout Egypt this was a well deserved place to gather composure and thoughts. The rooms and facilities are luxury with the pool and Nile river perfect for that respite. The staff are accomodating and extremely friendly. The breakfast is top notch. It’s approx 22 min walk to Luxor temple and another few minutes to other temples as the hotel is located on the east bank of Luxor. The hotel is a good distance from all the street meddlers 😂giving you some space. It was also reasonably priced for the 3 nights that I stayed.

Staff was very professional and friendly in general. The reception staff took good care of us and offered a room upgrade as well. The room was good size and well kept (although little outdated in style). The steam shower and jacuzzi in the room was a nice touch. Views of nile is excellent and easy access to luxor town
